I currently have a 1 way ticket SYD-SEA for September 2022.

Originally I was going to Japan via ship, however that cruise has been cancelled so I will now be flying back from SEA.
(I had not yet booked HND-SYD)

So I now need to turn my 1 way ticket into a return, as well as change the ex SYD date.

Is the best way to do this to brave the call centre in the dead of night?

Or to turn the existing booking into a voucher, and then book using the voucher?

I can't think of any other way...

Thanks in advance!

You're gonna have to call - but one way flights to the mainland (as opposed to HNL) usually come at a premium, so it's likely you can get a better deal on a return flight.

Call around 7am if you can, you should be able to get through quickly. I don't think late at night is that good as they don't have many staff on.

But I don't think the OP wants to add a one way, I read it as they want to change a one -way (SYD=SEA) to a return and also on a different date. If not easy to do I would be inclined just to cancel and rebook using credit for part payment.

Is this a cash ticket? Or award? Guessing cash if considering voucher
Given QF do not fly to SEA, what is the route? SEA-LAX-SEA on QF/AS or QF/AA. Or something else

Yes, it's a cash ticket.

Current route is SYD-LAX on QF and then LAX-SEA on Alaskan.
Return probably the same in reverse.

I called and resolved over phone.

Report is in the call centre wait time thread here:
