Best seats on the Jetstar A321neo

Late to this thread.

Just boarded my first JQ A321neo VH-OYU - New car smell even though 10months old

Exit row 19a lots legroom for a LCC for 190cm male. Seat reclinable. Pleasant happy crew.

Looking forward to experiencing relatively short flight BNE-MEL on this type.

Started writing "does row 2 have better legroom?"...

Answer is yes - 2ABC is saved for assistance passengers. Just booked 2DE free for the BNE-DPS bogan bus :)

Yeah… not sure about that! Row 2 is a standard row with standard pitch on all Jetstar’s a320/321 aircraft.

Row 1 has additional space, as in no one in front of you, as do the exits.

Typical seat pitch for row 2 will be 29 inches.

I flew a JQ A320 AKL-CHC a few days ago in row 2 (with my mum who requires mobility assistance). We were moved from row 7, I was told because row 2 is where wheelchair pax get seated.

Row 2 had, I'd estimate, about 35" of legroom. I flew an NZ A321NEO a few days before that in row 2 which has 33" and the JQ seat was more spacious. I'm 188cm and my knees were nowhere near the back of the seat in front. It also helps that they use the Recaro BL3710 seat with the knee room cut-out.

Well spotted!!

And if you look closely at the a320 seat map on aeroLOPA that is indeed the case! But that only applies to the A320s, not the a321, which I think operates the BNE-DPS?

I can’t edit my original post to correct the error now. But that’s a handy tip!

Yes that's true, only A320's. It would make sense that the A321's are the same, but they may not be.

According to aeroLOPA the seat pitch at row 2 on the a320 is 32 inches! It does look bigger on the map. Or maybe just compared to the 29 inches behind it feels much bigger!
