I've been booked on a trip to Bridgetown, Barbados (BGI) over Easter for ages with my better half. We were originally booked to go QF 107/8 SYD-JFK direct return, and JFK-BGI with a stopover in New York - all in discount Y on QF and AA, two different tickets. Given that we were both travelling together I just booked direct flights to keep things simple.

Some work issues have arisen whereby we are now travelling independently and have to change some flights, and I might have more time available to sneak in a couple of crafty extra legs on AA in J, and/or treat myself to Premium Economy on the way over or back - perhaps via AKL to increase the SC's.

Any thoughts on how best to maximise SC's on this routing? A stopover in NYC is now longer necessary - although I like the idea of flying QF107 or 108 for comfort, especially given that if I bump myself up to PE then it's only an extra $100 or so one way get from LAX to JFK. Oddly, one way trips to BGI in J on AA seem to be about the same cost from anywhere in the US (including HNL!). Also bear in mind that I will have credit from the QF and AA tickets to 'use up' so need to do the long haul bit on a QF ticket.

Thanks in advance...

AA's "Business Flexible" fares to BGI book can be SC heavy.

- they are very good earners with multiple segmetns.
