Hi Everyone, this is my first thread so excuse it if i make a few mistakes, i want the best price for a trip from PER-MIA aprox april 23rd 2011 then return from LAX- PER aprox May 25th I want to use Qantas or AA as we are Club members.:D

with QF and AA. AUD3318 including taxes in S class. via sydney. its a little bit cheaper via melbourne but travel time is slightly higher.

QF to east coast and United the rest of the way a lot cheaper, $1900-$2000 area.

THANKS, I missed out a few weeks ago AA had a price code sharing with Qantas for 1900 via tokyo

There's an AA fare that goes per-syd-lax-mia. then lax-nrt-per for about the $2600-$2700 area.

Thanks Daz, who is that through? AA themselves?

It's just a fare the your travel agent should be able to find, Sabre gave it to me when I asked it to find the cheapest fare via NRT. It was on AA codeshare flight numbers heading over, then a QF number on the nrt-per...
1 AA /QF 7348 V 24APR S PER SYD 0545 1205 737 0 /E
OPERATED BY QANTAS AIRWAYS LTD.
1 AA /QF 7363 V 24APR S SYD LAX 1305 0945 380 0 /E

1 AA 1254 V 24APR S LAX MIA 2130 0525 738 0 /E
2 AA 169 N 25MAY W LAX NRT 1230 1605 777 0 /E
3 QF 80 N 28MAY J NRT PER 2040 0605 763 0 /E
TOTAL FARE - AUD 2614.83

I havent looked into any of the fare rules or anything but your travel agent can do that.

At around $1140 return for Delta out of Sydney, mixing in you own connecting flights you would still have enough money to buy into Priority Pass and still have a bag of money left over from the QF AA option.

that 57k (~$600 worth) will get you to sydney, where u can have a much cheaper ticket booked from....

Thanks 4 the reply , when you say my own conecting flight do you mean PER_SYD?? and the Priority Pass you mention What is that?( Iam not up to all this etc) just a senior trying to get the best price possible and really do appreciate your help.

Yes -- though my biggest recommendation is to wait for cheaper fares to be loaded for the dates you're after. At this stage, all you're going to see is the fare that QF want to charge you, without the benefit of competitive price squeezing.

Right now, per what everyone else is seeing for QF fares - the best you're going to get is low $3000's. By searching for the exact same routing later this year, I'm getting $1632 inc. taxes.

THANKS, THANKS, you guys I really really do appreciate ALL your help and replys

I will assume you would like to earn the mileage/SCs as well as obtain lounge access.

Firstly you are way too early to find the best fares on the AA sites. I would venture about 3 months out would be the time to begin to look - especially since April / May is before the peak travel periods.

This will be particularly true if booking the TPAC segments ex SIN TPE or HKG given you might be willing to fly Jetstar PER-SIN/HKG

Note: flying J* to SIN and booking a return SIN-PER-SIN will be about the same as booking PER-SIN-SIN.

I would expect that eventually SIN/HKG-USA would eventually get to the US$1500 (or less). Just be patient.

Another note LAX-MIA on AA as a one way ticket is about US$227. So a round trip and add-on rather than an OpenJaw might be worth pricing.

My USA-HKG-USA in September went from about US$1600 to about $1000

Happy wandering

Fred

Thanks Fred

You say fly J to singapore< that is buisness clas s right??

Alas J* = Jetstar
Or an award flight - you need to get out of Perth (one way) so you can base your RT tickets from some where else
