Hi guys

Has anyone flown Premium on the new three-class 747s? Any thoughts on the best seat for a solo traveller?

Thanks for your help!

I flew this last week, and also on QF8 BNE-SYD the week before. On QF8, I had 36K, if I remember correctly - first window seat on the right (when sitting in the plane and looking forward). Nice leg room, but there was no-one sitting next to me so easy to get in/out.
I sat in 37G for LAX-BNE last week. I found it a decent seat. Slight box under 36G in front of me. 36D-G does have a slight cut-out in front of them. It would certainly be easier to get up from the middle seats in that row than in the rows behind. I noticed that once seats were reclined, the lady in the middle seat next to me (quite a bit shorter than my 6 feet) had to grab the seat in front of her every time she stood up. She probably could have used her arms and the armrests, and a good bit of abdominal force.
I also noticed my chair, and hair at one point, being pulled by the person behind to lever themselves up. Given the cutout, I might consider 36D or G next time I fly that config. 34A or 36K would be good window seats if you prefer them. The gent in 36J had a leg brace of some kind, but I think it was still a bit easier for the person in 36K to get out - the lady in 37K needed the man in 37J to get up for her to be able to get up.

I'm on QF107/8 and currently have 37J/K reserved. Would it be better to take 36J/K?

I sat in 36K for a flight from London a couple of weeks ago. I was a solo passenger and really liked that seat. No one reclining in front and quite easy to get out. Although I think the cut out for 36D-G was even more space.
