Best multi-port USB charger?

As such, it's a bit slow charging multiple USB-A devices (eg two iPhones, a power bank and a FitBit will take overnight at least)
many of the multi port chargers i have seen dont support using all ports at full capacity all at once, this will be clearly spelt out in the specs. I dont even know if I have seen one that does because not overly fussed. For example the Nektek you mentioned also has such a limitation.
  • USB-A: Total 5V/4.8A Max (shared by 4 ports)
what i have found that helps me more is a Powerbank with 2 outputs that can charge while its being charged.

Most of the Anker USB-A only ones can, but of course we want USB-C now.

I also do the same with a power bank. Overnight you get full charge with backup power for the day. Best of both worlds for now.

Now we just need to figure out how to charge the powerbank while we are out of the room
2nd key trick dont work, the chambermaid pulls it out when she does the room 🤬

I'm in the US and just got this. The main benefit for me was that the USB-A ports provide 3A current which powers some external display devices I use.

2nd key trick plus do not disturb card on the door works.
wont that annoy room services? because they will keep comin back to check as they have to do the room anyway, eventually they might call and figure out what you have done.

I know thats only a little thing, but these guys work pretty haard for not much money, and they could do stuff with my toothbrush, so annoying them isnt on my agenda :)

I've also recently purchased the Satechi 75W USB-C Charger. Pricey but was one of the limited options that I could find that had a good distribution of charging power when all charging ports were in use.

Just to clarify/confirm comments from others on the slow iPad charging. Even tho the iPhone and iPad chargers look identical, they are definitely not. The insanely small writing on each will show that the iPhone chargers are 5V@1amp, where the iPads are [email protected]. There are some variations ... older/smaller iPads will be 2.1 amp.

Point being people see the charger is identical in every other respect and simply assume that they can use iPhone and iPad chargers interchangeably. I actually think thats a fair enough assumption given how Apple has presented them. However using an iPhone charger on an iPad will not only charge extremely slowly, but it may very likely only charge the iPad when it’s not in use. The screen and general use will be enough to take all the charging input from an iPhone or other 1Amp charger - I’ve even seen iPads go flat WHILST on such a charger.

I have put a small mark on my iPad charger so I can tell them apart. Also explains why dual-USB wall power outlets you can get are often marked with ‘phone’ and ‘tablet’.

So any charging station you get may not need all outputs to be at 2+ amps, but should have at least as many high current outputs as needed for your larger devices. The rest would be fine at 1Amp for phones. I agree with the previous comment to check the specs to see if the output is shared between all the ports (a bad thing). Each port should run it’s rated output regardless of whatever else is plugged in.

The fine print on the chargers is pretty much impossible to read.
I have no idea which charger came with my (new) ipad as distinct from my (many) iphones.
But I have a charger for a macbook pro which I use with a USB-C to lightning lead to charge my ipad at home.
But it's a bit bulky to take travelling.

Reading all this with interest, thanks everyone..
I currently carry the house brick sized Mbpro charger AND a multiport usb charger… time to go shopping

I am finding the standard charger doesn't charge my ipad quickly.
If I am actually using it the charge seems to stay level when the charger is plugged in.
Can anyone recommend a VERY FAST multi-port USB charger?
Bonuses for:
(a) built in international adaption; and/or
(b) power bank capacity.
Is that an indication that iPad is better than Android, in your humble opinion, poster?
Otherwise, why mention a brand-name?

Have a look at oneadaptr.com. I have used a few of their chargers, which I discovered while living in HK, for both Mac & iPads & iPhones simultaneously while travelling. I have just upgraded to the OneWorld PD which has USB-C + 3 x QC 3.0 USB ports.
Free shipping over US$100.
I did make the mistake with my 1st one of using my hair dryer which blew the fuse but they very promptly sent me a new fuse free of charge.

When travelling solo I just use my trusty old Skross Pro 10 amp world travel adaptor.

Power supply to phone and fridge is usually on separate circuit. I pull phone power out and plug in my powercube (I worry that powering down the fridge even for a minute or so will tell the hotel's computer that I've just consumed everything in the fridge 😟😯).

Not at all, it's just a matter of fact reference to what it is.
I could have used the more generic "tablet" but I am not in the habit of using it.
I've been using an android phone for a few weeks and I'm actually growing attached to it.
Unfortunately it is locked to a Chilean network so I can only use it through wifi here.
So I am carrying my ipad around to give it internet access.
That's not sustainable, and it doesn't work as a phone here, so I bought a replacement yesterday.
I won't mention the brand.
