Am interested as to whether the advice has changed (from a number of past threads or the internet generally) on what the best lounges to visit, LHR T3 on a OW ticket. I’ll be flying Y and will be either SG or WP, depending on whether the QF DSCs have dropped in time.

Options I can see are:
1. CX F (if WP) or J (with noodle bar?)
2. QF
3. BA F (if WP), with a la carte meals? or Galleries Lounge
4. AA F (if WP) or Admirals Club - the former recently reopened, with a la carte meals but no showers?

On my last and only true lounge crawl I enjoyed sampling a fair few locations at HKG but am not sure how many we’ll have time for in this case, so want to get the order correct! Any advice from recent experience (or otherwise) greatly appreciated.

The best lounge in LHR T3 for OWE is CX F.

It has a la carte dining, free pour Champagne and excellent views.

BA F is tired decor, average food with a short cook to order menu as well as buffet.

AA F has recently re-opened but pre-pandemic it was very average and I don’t imagine the light refresh has worked any wonders.
The AAdmirals club is not worth bothering with.

QF Lounge is probably the best option if you only have OWS, especially in the afternoon/ evening when the Gin bar is open and a la carte dining.

Centurion Lounge isn’t bad if you have Amex. No natural light but a decent buffet and good bar service.

CX F>BA F=QF=CX J> AA

CX F also has Portuguese custard tarts and a self serve beer tap 😜

QF has à la carte breakfast from 9.30am before QF10, not a lot of use to anyone arriving in the lounge hungry before 9.30am 🙄 Luckily CX is next door.

My preference is to do CX First for a feed then the AA First lounge. (AA has more space than the others with champagne free pour.)

This mere WP has found little real use for the Qantas facility.

Thanks all. If I remain sg then looks like the qf lounge will be the place to start, then possibly CX. Otherwise, I love the equation you put together @Princess Fiona and I'll see what time allows me to sample in left to right order!
