Hi all ,
Any opinion on the best J seating on QF 07 in the new fitout 747s .
Flying on my own ..... upstairs / downstairs etc etc
Thanks in anticipation ,

PD

Downstairs at the front - there is something about being in the nose and old First Class section!

I don't like upstairs as find overhead lockers too small.

5B or 5J are the best solo seats.

See here:
I agree with what pm3207 says with respect to 5J, a mirror image of 5B, but I had no issues with anyone "bumping" into me on the QF7 flight.

Great to have the Mark II Skybeds.
Definitely one of the best 2 seats for a solo traveller.
On the downside I did note and it was remarked on by the FA sitting opposite me in the jump seat that the reconfiguration and removal of the F toilets leads to lengthy queues.

Hi There
I flew to DFW in July on QF7 and QF8 and tried downstairs going across to DFW. I find it noisy and J class was completely full. (5BorJ) great seats for solo traveller. One of the toilets we had to share with PE!!! the PE loo door was playing up... (what one must endure)!!:D Don't sit near the galley the FA's are a rowdy lot, heaps of noise as its the galley for PE also. Coming home I was upstairs and I had no one sitting next to me (11A&B) so I had my own party happening it was more civilised and much more quiet. Have fun deciding... thats the best bit of travelling getting the best seat lottery...:D

Have just flown in the past couple of days - 5J was awesome. The side tray thing is quite deep- enough room for blanket, pjs and more.

The middle seats in row 3 looked spacious but got bumped by the carts often. Was also surprised/ disappointed at the loos. Nothing like the disabled ones on the a380 (this may have changed with the latest reconfiguration)

Recently we did DFW/BNE upper J was quiet half empty, service and food excellent. Noted exit seats in bubble have less side storage.
