Lot of threads discussing different airline lounges, but I can't recall (and can't find) one discussing the best hotel lounge experiences people have had?

My experience is largely restricted to spg and hilton, but I do have a few stand outs, these being Grosvenor House, Dubai, Conrad Macau and Sheraton Grande Taipei, with honorable mentions to Sheraton D Cube Seoul and JW Marriott Pune. Based on overall ambience, food offering - quality and variety, staff service levels and the sorts of beverages available.

Any suggestions?

Also, what about in the US, any stand outs there? I've not been to that many in US, but of the ones I have been to, struggling to think of one that wouldn't fall into the bottom 25% in Australia or Asia.

Plenty of references in the various threads "How does [hotel group] treat you as an elite", but useful to have a single source like this.

Great thread. I'd go so far as to say, all US lounges fall right to the bottom of the list (not that I've been in many either).

I really like the Conrad Bali lounge. Level of service, food quality, ambiance. Just everything about it is spot on.

Anything in Asia is generally good - staff (ie. Chefs) are relatively cheap so they can throw more at it.

US lounges are generally pretty poor - few snacks at most, and often pay for alcohol

About 5 years ago the Conrad Singapore had the best afternoon tea in the lounge but it has gone downhill since then. Agree with Conrad Macau

The Pacific Club at Pan Pacific Singapore (Raffles Blvd) remains my favourite, after many hundreds of nights in club rooms around the world over the years. Dedicated top level of the hotel (a former restaurant), with 360 degree views over Singapore, by the Bay. Good variety of seating and settings. Great service. Good drinks and quality of food is generally very high. Champagne breakfast a bonus for my weekend stays, too ;) Hard to beat, but I keep looking!

Honorable mentions to the Horizon Club, Shangri-La KL, and the Club InterContinental in Wellington.
No mentions for anything in the US of A.

Cheers
Matt.

Some of the Clubs come to mind are Grand Hyatt Beijing food & service... Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.. food,view.. & Runart Champagne the Club pour all day!!...and the Service, Cavalieri Rome King Imperial Rome View....going to try Shangri-La & Ritz-Carlton both in Singapore in April,Oh!! I forgot Crown Towers Melbourne probable the best of the lot for everything.

My two favourites are the IC in Singapore and the MO in Singapore. Beautiful food, great quality drinks, peaceful atmosphere, great staff.
None in the USA are memorable to us, although the RC Central Park is pretty good. Any hotel lounges in Thailand or Malaysia that we have been to have been ok, but nothing to rave about.

Melbourne Sofitel one of the better lounges in Australia.

Intercontinental Park Lane

new intercontinental lounge in Wellington.

Hyatt regency London

Sheraton Edinburgh

Fairmont Victoria (canada)

The SOTP has really improved it's evening offerings in the lounge.
Wines-3 reds,3 whites.1 champagne.I liked the 2015 Last Horizon pinot noir from the Tamar.
Food-large prawns and oysters natural both nights.Oysters Kilpatrick also the first night.2 different sushis each night,a lovely pate salads and condiments. An Asian hot dish each night.good selection of desserts.
Best food I have had in an Australian lounge.

We haven't been to too many but we really enjoyed the RC in Hong Kong, just can't beat the views from the 116th floor, also afternoon tea and the Moët was enjoyable.

PH MEL for service - Evelyn and Myrna are amazing.

For F&B offerings probably SoTP in Sydney would go close. They often have oysters, and pour real wines, rather than mass produced rubbish.

Many Asian lounges do have top offerings in terms of service and F&B.

So many in Singapore, Parkroyal on Pickering and Fullerton are stand outs for me, recently stayed at Carlton but wasn’t overly impressed by food selection. Heading to Intercontinental in July, good to note someone gave this a good wrap on here

Yes, IC Singapore very good... I will try the new IC Singapore Robertson Quay, next month, as well

Cheers,
Matt.
