Quick question:

I am flying LHR-HKG in F on CX next week - 1230hrs flight.

The reviews I have found of the CX lounges in LHR are not exactly overwhelming. The BA one sound better but not sure if I am allowed to use it....

So: Is there a better OneWorld/Qantas/etc lounge than the CX one in T3?

These are frequent flyer redemption seats booked on CX via the nice people at Qantas, if that makes a difference...

Thanks as always.

Just visited the BA F lounge in T3 last week and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Not as good as Syd/Mel but I was expecting something more like the very ordinary SIN QF F lounge and it was much better. Had a nice dinner in the restaurant prior to flying QF F back to Mel via HKG.

Cheers

Switch to BA and then you can use the Concorde Room at T5. Assuming of course you're flying F, otherwise act like I never spoke as they wont let you in without an F boarding pass.

It was like the second line of the OP... Do people not read the posts?

Personally I wouldn't be swapping CX to BA just for the sake of using the Concorde room in LHR unless flying BA's new F - and that would only be a maybe. If the OP is flying CX in their new F then that would I think win hands down...

Agree 100%.

The likelihood of getting new F on BA is relatively high these days, but it is really just a reinvention of the old F with a few extra bells and whistles (window shades, lamps and seat controls). It does give a very fresh look to the cabin. CX F wins by a large margin. Does CX have any "old" F cabins remaining?

And, reaffirming that your F boarding pass would get you access to all of CX, AA and BA F lounges in T3. BA would generally be the preferred choice.
