I have open choice on a 4 hour early evening flight Auckland to Brisbane. No sleeping required. But will surely try the shower.

A380 on Emirates. A cheap F bargain.

Where do I sit? :p

If all the seats remain open, why not try all of them, 15 minutes each... :p

Of course! Full tour of shower too. Pre. :D. Goodness must remember to cover the mirror then! 

The RH shower as you face the front (where the J 'lounge' is on QF A380s) is larger than the other; I've had hotel rooms with smaller bathrooms. So if you chose a K seat, you would just swan up forward. On the long haul, they take your preferred time at the start and I think you can nominate which side.

Yes, forget seat selection, now its shower selection!

I've only travelled Y+ on the A380 with Qantas and that's up top. Our Emirates F experience wasn't on an A380. Still rather good.

This flight is in March. Time for others to join me. :p.

Any ideas why the last two middle seats have a triangle? I can select them.

I'm on my own this flight (no MrP) and have to stop over at Bne due to no flights to Adelaide. So Dom, here I come

Is there a bad seat? I can't believe I'm even asking this. First world problem indeed.

I have it in my head that I need to be 1A.

I'm presuming that J can't use the shower? I've read you receive a laundry bag and amenity kit by having the shower.

I could just turn the taps on if I didn't need a shower. :D

As they say in the QF F thread, there are no bad seats in F! For overnight flights, personally I would the first and last rows, due to proximity to toilets/galleys etc, but as its a day flight, that's less of a worry. !A would be fine :)

This trip report gives some pics of the cabin and showers. the 'triangle' seats are shown - I don't think that are different as far as pax are concerned.

Thank you for the TR!

Assuming the load stays the way it is, I would say it's imperative that both showers are tested. :)

Pushka:
I did the AKL-MEL equivalent a few weeks ago, and there were two other pax, with the same number on the outward bound leg from MEL. I didn't use the shower but at least one other person did, even on such a short flight.

Mind you, as I said at the time, I may well have been tempted, had I not had the opportunity a few times on longer flights previously.

With that sort of loading, there certainly are no bad seats in F. (IF there ever are.:))

The only problem with that short haul flight is that the caviar doesn't feature.
Still, there is the Dom Perignon as compensation.:p

I did try the caviar on an EK flight last week. I'm sure I didn't order it as I don't like seafood.

But after 2 Moët in the lounge and 2 Dom on the plane, anything could have happened between brain and mouth.

I find it's important to eat the caviar with the accoutrement otherwise it's a bit dull and salty. And of course glass of DOM or Henessey Paradis.

Just out of interest what did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

It was $900NZD a few days ago. I needed 130 status points for a status run and this came in at 120 points. Plus I have some work to do in NZ! Win Win

Thanks, I might have to do the same this year, really want to try EK A380 F!

Just allocated 2E & 2F for myself and the wife (gosh! we'll be getting hitched a week earlier!!) for JFK-DXB and DXB-BKK later in the year. Drained my entire Qantas balance of 402,000 points and $2500.00 in taxes and fees, just to fly the EK birds.

And the chauffeur drive at Dubai ..... most likely they pick you up in Volvos?? Really?

We have exactly the same trip coming soon, also booked on the recent sale.
By the time I made the booking most of the seats were occupied already (I guess we were not the only one thinking $900 for F is a bargain) so I had to call EK to release 3E/3F.
