Hi everyone,

I'm curious to hear your thoughts. Lately I've heard horror stories of 2 to 3 hr long waits at immigration upon arrival at various times of the day at DPS. Does anyone know when it's not peak hour? I'm just looking into Bali Fast Track: Arrival Services now as that might solve all my queries for my upcoming trip.

I doubt there's a particularly quiet time of day. However, check flightstats.com and search for DPS arrivals over the previous week. The search breaks the day into two parts. Then have skim through and see which are the international flights and which are the domestic ones. That would give you some idea.

If you've ever watched the planes roll in while having dinner at Jimbaran Bay you will know there's never a quiet time. All it takes is for one of the many planes to be delayed and the theoretical quiet time disappears.

Might help to have someone line up for the visas and the other person to line up in the immigration queue if that's the way they still do it.

Hmm, that's no good. Apprehensive about coming in and out of DPS a few times over the next couple of months on the way to SIN and BKK, at least once with kids. Was hoping the new airport would have resulted in some improvements on the waits; are those unofficial fast-track services still around? I thought they were not really kosher.

As a regular visitor to bali i cannot recall having to wait 2 to 3 hours to clear immigration and customs, maybe one and half hours max. I been using Garuda on recent visits and we do the on board immigration process, a service offered only in business class i suspect..

We've certainly waited a long time. In the old airport it was pretty hot and crammed with people. It seems worse when there is a flight from Asia as the language issues come to light and people get into the wrong queue.

Check on TA to see if the fast track services still work.

The "fast track" paid services have been banned in the last month.

Garuda still has an 'official' fast track for premier pax and then there is the APEC card !

I'm fairly sure it's offered to both J and Y.

I arrived recently on JQ from SYD in the evening and it was a fairly painless experience.

Have you read the other thread on this topic? Current wait times have not improved. In our many flights the Bali one is easily the worst.
