Best Credit Card for Frequent Flyers

...
Just bear in mind that it takes 2 working days to get a Bpay payment into the account. A cash payment at Woolies is instantly added to the account.
The Supermarket payment seems instantaneous.

However, I have noticed my last two BPay'ments' have gone through with the next business day.

So my wife who earns less than me(same financial circumstances otherwise) got approved ... brilliant :)

Why are you guys so worried about instance payments into it?

Why are you guys so worried about instance payments into it?

Because some of them pay very large (corporate? multiple?) quarterly tax bills with their credit cards, so have to transfer the money in before they can pay it out as the total tax payable might be several times their credit card limit.

I don't know why they don't just transfer the whole lot on one go and then just pay the bills over the next few days but I guess there must be a good reason, as these blokes are seriously obsessive and appear to have thought of everything in their quest for an optimal return.

Hope this helps.

Only have a $25k limit. If GST has to be paid, then this limit does not cover it. Need to get money into the account rapidly so that when the tax is paid there is sufficient funds to cover it.
Also many of my suppliers want to be paid before the goods are dispatched. So if I place an order for say $10000 , I must have that amount of available credit . If not , the order will not be processed and this time of the year, may mean lost sales.
We also play in the short term money market, so no need to put any more cash into a credit card than what is required.
As my friend cove says " it's just a game "

HSBC/Woolworths has become next day as has Citibank with BPay but I still allow one more day as a just in case to avoid problems.

Made a $5000 Bpay payment into my Woolies C/card yesterday 13/12/2011 at 12:22 Sydney time.

How long did it take for citibank to post the 40,000 bonus signup points after your first spend on the citi business gold?

My first transaction on the citibusiness card was on 16/11/11. Dont know exact date 40,000 points were in the account but it was just days. Rang and asked for 40,000 transfer on 23/11 and points were in my QFF account on 24/11. Very easy and stress free.

Hi All

So after reading this thread, need to get some final clarification.

Currently have Citibank Plat, but received the news of the change next year from 1QFF pt/$ to 0.5pts/$. Looking to move to CitiBusiness Gold to circumvent this - should I be ringing Citibank and asking them to move me over? Or applying directly online as a new customer?

Appears members have no issue moving points over into QFF (in 10k increments). Are we still eligible for the 40,000 bonus points as QFF points?

Thanks all!!
