Best business seats with kids, B738?

Flying MEL-SYD vv in December with my two kids aged 11 and 9, and for the northbound flight the price difference from Choice to Business seemed worthwhile for the extra status credits.

Apart from us the only reserved seat is 2A. So far I've put me in 2B and the kids across the aisle in 2DF, but would it be better with me in 2D and them in front of me in 1DF, or something else?

I’d leave it as you have done. Or else put yourself in 1D/F and kids behind you.

It will be easier for the kids to get to their stuff as it can go under the seat in front on row 2.
Also less likely to get moved from their seats if a VIP/ Beyond member wants row 1.
