Hi All

Will be flying back from LA to Sydney(so long, horrible flight as you will be aware) and almost immediately getting on another plane to Perth. Looking for an idea of the best plane to have a little bit of space, and better service in business class. Which seat configuration or type of plane will be the nicest? Two hours between flights should be enough, right?

Failing that, anyone want to bring me into the lounge so I can shower and sit in (relative) peace? I guess I would'n't get into the International lounge at that point, I would have to go over to the domestic terminal?

Thanks!
LeahM

If the A380's are flying again for the long haul try to take that flight ex LAX. Will only the long haul be in J or domestic as well? Otherwise you will be able to go to the domestic J lounge where you can take a shower and relax. For the domestic try to get an Airbus, not sure which version has the skybeds but someone here will be able to confirm...

Getting back to the OPs question, IMHO the best J cabin AFTER an international flight to do a transcon would be the A330, there is now three 200s all new, or you might get an A333!

For domestic business class my preference in order would be

A330->767->738->734....

Do all the A330 have that horrible PE seat or are there still Skybeds doing the transcon? How can you be sure not to get the PE?

Where do non skybed A330's fit in the preferences?
Hmmm.... Perhaps I was a little hasty in my preferences. I have never sat in business class on a QF domestic A330 without skybeds.

..and then you have to decide whether you prefer the Sicma J seats or the Recaro J seats :shock:

I've only been in the Sicma, and I found them ok

OK. Time for more domestic A330's on the SYD-BNE route and more frequent op-us. ;)

Getting back to the OP.

If travelling SYD-PER in business class then they would have access to the Domestic Business class lounge in any case.

As for the aircraft, a 333 would gaurantee a skybed ...
