Sydney. Pick a spot in Sydney you want to live (or outer up to 90 mins as you mentioned) and enjoy the tollways for easy and fast access to the terminals.

Use someone like Park N Fly for International Travel and QF Valet for Domestic makes the car thing go sweet.

Easy domestic reach to MEL and BNE if the scheduled don't suit out of SYD.

Better baggage handling on arrival back into SYD c/- Olympics which seriously improved the logistics end of the flight.

MEL is okay quick and easy - but I find the formalities much slower compared to SYD. Also the cabin bag naz_'s at the entry to immigration (outbound) as a pain.
