Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has been on a flight between Beijing and Vladivostok. I am interested in doing the Trans-Siberian from Vladivostok to Moscow and trying to figure out how to get to Vladivostok on One-World? Any suggestions?

I don't think you can.

KE fly from PEK. As do S7.. but the "cheaper" flights all have 2 stops... KE fly nonstop from ICN.

FLights ALL look pretty pricey... (> USD 500 one way)

Edit: Except for S7 out of PVG.. that prices at USD$390 or even less on Sundays...USD $238!

EDIT: S7 also fly PEK-VVO for USD $162 on some Mondays and Fridays....(matrix.ita month long search for July)

I think I'd just grab that and forget the OW part...

haven't done the Vlad. bit, but in Aug 1992 caught Trans-Manchurian Rail from Hong Kong - Beijing (stop for 5 days) and then head up thru northern china and manchuria. once it got to the border with Russia. the train swapped engines and our carriages were linked up with the Vladivostok train. this took quite a few hours, with 1 little shop and not much in the way of toilets. then took off heading for Irkusk - Moscow - St. Petersburg - Helsinki. 2 1/2 weeks later we got to the end.
o/nite stop in Irkusk (spelling not right here)
5 days in Moscow
3 days in St. Petersburg.all in all it took 3 weeks
things were a bit different back in those days though, so not sure how much of our trip would be the same now. it was only very early days of tourism then and they were'nt sure what and how to do it then.

HA! Shows how much I know about OW...

Sorry... a *A type just tryin' to be helpful....

until the end of October - S7 flies 4 times a week between PEK and VVO - 1,2,5,6 (S7505/506)

does not seem to be too expensive at $533 OW in April (just some random date I looked at)

any questions about Russia - just ask me, I'm a Russian Australian and go to Russia pretty much every year (the next trip being this June)

Start the train Journey at Harbin. This is a good starting point.
