What a terrible promo.

On the top 20 referrers will gain points..and only the referees on them will gain points too.

SQ need to be fair dinkum and offer a reward for all referrers, or at least all that met a hurdle.

No mention of what would make you top 20 as well. Is the top 20 Australia wide or open to everyone in the world?

Agreed terrible promotion.

I think it is a fabulous promotion - so good nobody will take it up!

The last thing we want is SQ throwing gazillions of free KF pts at anybody who is prepared to stand by and catch them a la VA - make people earn those KF pts I say!

So I assume that means that you were absolutely thrilled that the various Banks and Amex have cut down the points being payed on ATO transactions then. ;)

The reason I don't like the promo is that what you earn is uncertain for the effort that would be put in, and for most it would be zero return for the effort you put in.

I prefer promos where for any effort that you get a known return, and then one can decide if it stacks up or not. This promos has you

That is not exactly what I meant - but then again ATO pmts not the only fruitful way to cultivate KF pts - I much prefer systems where you have to use a bit of effort to build the bank - rather than pts showered to one and all in a scatter gun approach.

What a terrible promotion. It misses all the important game elements and will no doubt prove a waste of time.

What the promotion should be is : refer a new member to krisflyer and for every mile over 5,000 they earn in the first 6 months - you and the account holder both receive 10% bonus.

Centrality networks are real, but this is a joke.

This is a very very typical promotion that is run - across the board not just in relation to FF programs - in Singapore. I suspect the target audience is Singaporeans. It's not uncommon to have a promos like this for banks, shopping centres, - with trivial rewards for a small of participants and nothing for other participants , and you never know if you make the cut or not. But for some reason they seem to love using their marketing funding this way.

Thanks liamsal. I'm going to give it a go - nothing ventured, nothing gained. I would be grateful if you could nominate me in the "Refer a friend section?" of the application. PM me for my Krisflyer #.Grateful for your support and any others.

How many referrals would a top 20 referrer make? 20? 50? 100? Terrible promotion.
