Bali bound for the Summer

Wow this is a bit of a surprise considering the issues VA has in making Bali work.
I do like how QF seems to be more dynamic in making its fleet work for seasonal routes during the quieter time for business travel.

good to see - seems like the falling AUD will push more traffic to Bali, the 737 is not ideal hopefully we see a 332 on this route if QF returns permanently.

JQ should really be using the 787s elsewhere on better yielding routes in a more pax friendly configuration.

another service out of Sydney..... why not alternate between Melbourne and Sydney?

Yes it's hard to refuse GA when they have direct flts out of MEL - hard to book QF when they don't fly direct from MEL.

So sad to see MEL (and other ports) left out...again. I'd fly it but would not do an overnight for nearly $2k in J for that distance. Give me a day flight up and back and this is the same price as JQ (with a max bundle) and I'd fly this any day (have 2 DPS flights to do in Q1 and 2 2016, but these don't work time wise)

But good on QANTAS for better fleet utilisation and support of their customers who don't want the JQ experience

Not to bad for SC's when connecting though, just over $6/sc when connecting from MEL in J for those keen enough.

Priced one up from MEL. 320SC for $1938. That is a nice little earner there.

Was around $900 for 110 SC's in Y

Of course form CBR it has to be more expensive.... $2300 for J and the domestic portion is still in Y........ Go figure...

Not all Australians live in Sydney...
No they don't but that doesn't make it a case to schedule flights to new destinations out of Perth.

By the way I don't think Qantas has treated Perth and Adelaide fairly but statistics do not lie.

Sydney has ~20% of Australia's population and NSW/ACT are ~33%. With Victoria and Queensland the Eastern seaboard makes up almost 80% of Australia's population. I don't have international departures/arrivals but would have thought the overwhelming majority would be from Eastern seaboard?

The evacuation of Qantas from Adelaide means that the Emirates flight each night is pretty much full. The Emirates partnership is probably a major reason why Qantas deserted us.

Agree the stats don't lie, but the item that Red Roo posted was as follows - 'Qantas to take AUSTRALIANS to holiday in Bali this summer'..

Err, most people in Sydney could be described as 'AUSTRALIANS', could they not?
