Am currently in Portugal after taking flight here from SYD on Friday (QF/BA via SIN/LHR). Missing luggage, and BA promise to get it to me soon (tomorrow or the day after).
Anyway, I have travel insurance (TID) and will be claiming "essential items" up to $500. Two questions:
1. What exactly are "essential items"? I need contact lenses and clothes, and assume this will be covered...
2. Do the airlines have to compensate anything for delayed luggage?
