As per title, does anyone have any experience with the baggage allowance on El Al when booked through Qantas?

During the entire booking process, Qantas just stated "1 piece of luggage" but nowhere can it be seen what that means (23kg?, 32kg?, less, more?). The eTicket is also not helpful as it refers to Qantas general luggage conditions that does not seem to mention El Al (a non-Oneworld partner).

When logging into the booking in the El Al website, luggage is all greyed out and cannot be accessed and it refers to calling the travel agent (i.e. Qantas, good luck with asking this question a CC agent in Fiji).

The "normal" El Al policy seems to be 1 piece at 23 kg with additional baggage that can be purchased.

The usual standard for 1pce is the 1pce at 23kgs.
Heavy fee would generally apply after the 23kgs.
Thanks - that’s what I was thinking as well.

Do you think I can also sneak into the “Premium Check-In” counter (albeit flying Y) given it’s booked via QF as reward and me being Gold?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Think so, you're gold
I would not be so sure. It seems the status recognition from El Al, per this page, is quite limited to lounge access (but only in TLV and HKG - and when connecting to or from a QF flight).

my reading implies that LY won't give too hoots about QF status otherwise. Heck this page only mentions lounge access - not any other offering such as bags, check in or boarding priority.

I'm unsure from the OP what route this reward ticket is, but let's say it's something like CDG-TLV then I can't see how Gold will get them much.

Fair point, a surprise to get lounge access which does have a cost v premium check in which is unlikely to have any marginal cost.
