Morning all,

I hope this isnt a silly question, but I couldnt be bothered winging QF Customer Svc.

I have both Gold and Silver Bag Tags. Im travelling with my better half and my LOVELY In-Laws. The booking is under my name.
We will be checking 4 bags, so I will have a tag (2 gold and 2 silver) for each bag. When escalated to Gold, are the Silver Tags still linked to my account and if so I gather I can successfully use all 4 tags.

Couldnt find a thread with similar questions .

Cheers

The tags aren't linked to an account, so anyone can use them. They are coded when they are placed on the bag drop with the passenger details.

Oh OK,

I understand. It links them after you have swipped your Q reader card and then asks you to place bag on the scales.

Thanks

I'd stick with the paper tags if I were you. I find the Q tags very unreliable, particularly if you have flight connections to make.

I've personally have never had one issue with the QTags. Even with connecting flights. They've always been a breeze really.

One time the Qreader at the self check in did try to also read the second QTag inside my suitcase that I forgot to take out but that was it lol

I have found the tags unreliable, particularly on connections. Once I was travelling Hobart to Sydney via Melbourne and my bag ended up in Launceston.

I've also found that priority handling works even more infrequently with the tags than usual.

I now don't use them at all and stick to the paper tags.
