We wandered around some more then the girls went back to the hotel and I went to the Ice Hockey Hall of Fame.IMG_6646.jpegIMG_6647.jpegIMG_6648.jpeg
If you have ever followed Ice Hockey 99 has been retired and I did like the large selection of the goalie masks.

There were heaps of Trophies on display as was the Stanley Cup, to my surprise the chap watching the Cup informed me there are 2 and these are rotated. As this was the one that was not in use the chap said it could be touched and even let me lift it with his help, it is not light and was informed it weighs around 35-36Lb. Also the championship rings were much larger than I thought they would be.

Oh, Toronto looks much easier to navigate in this weather. No slippery ice on the ground!

And the fountain on at Casa Loma! Fabulous.

I had a few days in Toronto some 20 years ago, before a conference. Was a great city to explore, and as it was spring there were fresh green leaves on the trees and clear blue skies. Looks like you are experiencing the same blue skies. Your hotel looks very comfortable and central.
I really enjoyed the photos of Casa Loma as I spent a few very interesting hours there on my visit.
This trip report is most enjoyable for its good photos and commentary.
If I may mention here, there are a number of trip reports being posted at the moment and I am thoroughly enjoying all of them.

Just catching up. Not sure if your TR is live or not, but if you are still in 'T'rana', make sure you occasionally mutter to locals "What about them leafs?!'. Doesn't have to be apros anything :) . If they are a local, the response should be 'Yeah, hey!'

TR is live however I missed this and am currently on a train to Montreal.

Then it was time to checkin, the place is not shabby and another hotel which I have no status with but better and cheaper than the chains. The roof top terrace is not open as it is out of season however there is still a lounge, games rooms and an on site spa.
