Back-to-back at NTL?

Hi all.

I'm looking at doing a same plane turnaround at NTL (on separate bookings). There is a return QF flt from ADL arriving at midday and leaving at 12.45pm on MWF. (There is other flt leaving 30 mins after the ADL one (to BNE), but there doesn't seem to be a lot of traffic around midday otherwise.)

But I see that there is a separate arrivals and departures area, meaning that I would have to clear security in between flts. I'd be travelling in J.

I have flown out of NTL once before, but it was about 10 years and my memories of the airport of vague.

I assume that this will be safely doable, but just wanted confirmation from someone with experience of NTL to confirm?

I've even done a same plane turnaround on JQ flying BNE-NTL-MEL on separate bookings!

NTL is a very small airport and it will be very easy to do this connection.

If you’re going QF to QF you can get them to check bags as it’s more than the MCT (30 mins) and QF will connect separate bookings if both are QF.

You are correct you can’t exit into the departures area so will be a short walk outside and back through departures.

Security at NTL is normally pretty good but can at times blow out - worst I’ve seen it is about 20 minutes. But more often it’s much quicker. 45 mins should be fine.
