From 1 November 2006, you will need 50% more points for a British Airways Award flight in World Traveller Plus than you need for a Qantas Economy Award flight.

Currently, the points difference is 25%.
WTP = 50% more
J = 100% more
Crazy not to go J !!

So are they going to increase the points earn for WT+ flights then?

110% of Full Econ should rise to at least 120%. SC earn should also increase from Full Econ to Full Econ plus 20%-50% too...

What, Qantas doesn't work that way? Hmmm....

BTW. Where did you get this info from?

Agree earn/burn isnt consistent for WTP.
Its not consistent for all clases. You get a 25% bonus for flying in J and 50% bonus for flying in F. But J awards cost 100% more than Y and F awards cost 200% more.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The main problem is that the earn rate is not reflective of the increase in price.

Everything else kind of "falls down" from there...

Kind of unfair that someone who has paid 7 times the economy price for a First fare, only earns 50% more than someone with discount economy! (on QF, that is)

If you want earning more closely related to revenue you'll need to switch FFPs.

DJ Velocity directly links $ to earning. LH Miles and More, and NZ Airpoints, indirectly link $ to earning (in that discount economy earns much less, business earns a lot more, and first even more still).

I would have thought that SC's are way more important that FF points and the reward for First over discount economy is 6 times the SC's!
