BA to Hainan: through checked baggage

Hi all,

I’m looking to fly from London to Xi’an on Hainan Airlines (HU). This involves flying BA to Paris outbound and from Rome inbound.

The itinerary looks like:
LHR-CDG with BA
CDG-XIY with HU
XIY-FCO with HU
FCO-LHR with BA

I can buy the entire journey on the HU website but I can’t get a clear answer from their hotline or twitter.

Will BA through check the bag from London all the way to Xi’an?
