KUL is daily LHR Dept 20:45 arr KUL 17:30
Rtn 23:20 arr LHR 0535. Flights start 10 Nov. Works well for MH connections to PER/MEL/ADL/SYD

I wonder if BA will ever return to MEL? It would be very interesting if one of those was the hop between LON and MEL.

I was on the last BA plane out of BNE with F and I was in F. A special was buy J and travel F. Not surprising it was cut. Only 2 of us in the F cabin had paid cash for the privilege.

Those J one way / F the other could be quite good deals. But I never had the chance to try one nor did I know they even flew to BNE!

A BA FA friend of mine was devastated when they dropped MEL. It was a good run for them. Not to mention one less carrier ex MEL for PAX…

2 Decades ago, BA flew LHR-KUL-SYD & vv.

One could see it getting the chop when there was an economy special in early 2000 MEL-xSYD-KUL return for under $500 with the MEL/SYD on a BA*QF codeshare. (It was a shock back then to earn only 110 QFF points for MEL-SYD on QF metal).

BA ex BKK seems quite costly. Think they are using older 777s for that route and its not daily. Ex KUL in biz seems average in cost.

My best op-up luck was on BA in BKK. Started with an economy ticket and at checkin given an economy boarding pass. Then, at the lounge, I was given a new boarding pass for premium economy. Finally, at the gate, I was given a Club World boarding pass.

I was sitting in the SIN QF Lounge a few years back waiting for a BA J flight to SYD (AY booking) and the phone rang - BA rep asking if I would mind if they upgrade me to F…🤷‍♂️ The catch was the IFE was broken. A nano second later I said “Yes” (well, I was planning to sleep anyway). As it turned out, I was given another seat with working IFE 😁.

Did you happen to notice who had taken your original F seat or was it a last minute no-show?
When I boarded I was shown to another seat. So maybe a “no show”.
