I'm sure I've seen a posting about this somewhere but can't find it. I'm flying in J class on the BA 10 (6th July) and want to find out if the new BA club class will be available. Can someone point me in the direction of the roll out schedule, the one on the BA site is very vague.

cheers

Iain

Hi Iain, and welcome to AFF. Unfortunately at this stage, the new business class is mainly on flights LHR-JFK-LHR. BA may have an aircraft updated for your routing but nothing is guaranteed. I have added a link below to the BA website which has a spiel on the new Club World, but only mentions LHR-JFK under the roll-out section.

There is a thread on Flyertalk that has rough % of what flights have had NGCW seats which can be used as a rough indicator of whether you might be lucky :)

Remember it's only on the 747 currently - 777 are to come soon...ish

Ultimate guide to what routes have BA's new clubworld seat - Page 15 - FlyerTalk Forums

Not sure if that will get you to the right page - my posts per page setting is 40 so this might only get you to the middle of the thread - go to the last(ish) page and look for the latest table of flights and you should get the matrix.

As far as I can see the BA 10 isn’t featuring at all on the matrix so looks rather unlikely. My biggest issue now is trying to get moved from 13b. I'm not too excited about being in aisle seat next to the toilet. As I'm on full J class and ow sapphire (CXgold), I thought I might have a little more choice. Any tips on how to get it changed? I’ve spoken to BA and they say everything upstairs and all windows are blocked.

Cheers

Have you logged into Manage My booking on teh BA website and had a rummage for yourself?

I am a big fan the MMB function - and have used it to grab upper deck exit rows (3 months out from flying).

Given my neutrality on the product from here to LHR or back I am now veering towards BA mostly due to that functionality alone...

I am wondering that given the the matrix on flyertalk is just originating out of the UK whether one could assume that BA09 could be the reference flight. Looking down that schedule BA09 has a 10% history of NNCW - one could assume that the aircraft back would also have NNCW :)

Good point. 10% is better than nothing Also, managed to get 63B via manage my booking, happy about that. Thanks. Shows the importance of staying on top of these things, when something changes you can jump on it.

Cheers

With OW Sapphire status, you should be able to use BA's on-line Manage My Bookings to view the map and select for yourself. You just need to know the Amadeus booking reference and BA can give you that over the phone if you don't already have it.

Iain, I am a subscriber to expertflyer and did a quick check on seat availability for your flight. There are a lot of open seats still, being 12K, 13A/G/J/K, 60J, 61B, 63A/K and 64B.

I flew LHR to BKK about 4 weeks ago, and got lucky with NNCW. None of the flight attendants had seen it before, which was interesting (I had had it on a flight about 5 weeks before from LAX-LHR, so I showed them how to lower and raise the screens).

Lots of mixed responses about the NNCW, but personally I love it. Once you work out that the footrest is a bit flimsy, and avoid putting much weight on it (don't try sitting on it, like I did), you can have a perfect uninterrupted sleep.

Good luck!
