Better get in quick - found on FT. Book directly on BA, or use google flights to search.

TXL or FRA to KUL for 1100euros, via HKG for not much more. To DPS also possible.

Germany - LHR in J, LHR - HKG or KUL in F.

Thanks for the heads up. Just booked MUC SYD return over Christmas New Year. First class return for less than Euros2000. If it's a mistake it will be interesting to see what BA do as German law very strict about advertised pricing.

Now waiting to see what BA do. And if this is a mistake, will they honor it?

That's the question. Will depend on a lot of things... whether it is a mistake that allows them to legally cancel the tickets, how generous BA is feeling, how many people have booked, the impact on revenue.

The deeply discounted J fares ex-OSL BA had about two weeks ago were honoured. I for one am hoping that BA will take the same approach to these deeply discounted F fares.

BA have been cancelling these fares, without notification to people. Supposedly, there is a prepared (and of course legally cleared) notice that will be emailed to those affected shortly.

Yep, mine's been cancelled on BA. Curious to see their reasoning now, and if they'll refund the currency conversion fees.

Can't say I am surprised but disappointed nonetheless. Will wait to hear what they say but in the meantime this exercise has brought forward my planning for Christmas/New Year and I will start looking for alternatives.

Did you know that "fat chance" and "thin chance" mean the same thing?

If the tickets are cancelled you can always go to your CC provider and have them void the transaction. This will avoid currency conversion fees (both in the original sale and later refund).

I didn't know that so thanks for the tip. Judging by my available limit, the charge is only pending on my Amex at the moment and presume it won't book till Monday. Meanwhile perhaps BA will actually advise me they have cancelled the flights. Regardless of whether or not the fare is a mistake, it's poor form to cancel and not advise.

I'm guessing BA has a pretty good assumption that 99% of people booking these fares will be monitoring their tickets closely. So they'd all know they have been cancelled.

The way the Euro has gone this week, I might actually come out a couple dollars ahead.

The charge on my card settled today and cost me an additional $39 since I made the transaction last Thursday.

I'm not sure what angers me more: the guts being ripped out of the currency or the fact that, 119 hours after booking and approximately 80 hours after members on FlyerTalk started reporting their bookings had been cancelled, there's still no notification from BA.

TBH, what difference does the notification make? We know they've been cancelled. If someone is smart enough and quick enough to find the window and pounce on the fares when they come up, they'll equally be smart enough and quick enough to know when they've been cancelled, notification or not.

If you are unsure, you can always call BA.
