Wow. Very dire food tonight in T5. No improvement from the slop that has been previously spotted.

Comments book has been changed to one where they can remove pages. The sole comment is that they need to change caterers. Slop, dire slop.

At least staff are friendly.

So you usually make do with the prepare to order? Hopefully that is of reasonable quality.

Had the burger last night. Meh. Meat was frozen and reheated I think. Vegies were super fresh though. The story gets better tho. You can tell Baxter Storey are in panic stations mode...

The way staff clear items from tables. How they keep the pig trough (buffet) clean. How friendly they are. Many different reasons.

They really should be doing that anyway. If they weren't doing that to start with then they should be sacked immediately.

That minimum standard is no guarantee of a lift in the audit rating.

Don't visit T5 Galleries South either... Apparently it was inspected several weeks later and allegedly also received a 2 with some scary failings.

Can't find the report and not going to republish the alleged failings without it coming from the FOI report... But this is not good.

Galleries North apparently got an acceptable rating with some noted failings.

Well the two additional t5 lounge reports have been released under FOI I believe. Will attach them later.

All I can say is "Oh dear". BaxterStorey are not a kebab shop. They are professional caterers who have high profile catering contracts (Amazon UK staff cafe is one example). The failings are the type of failings a person with zero food hygiene training would make. They are simple things with serious consequences... For example. Defrosted meat with no indication of a use by date or thawed on date, a heating oven which had the temperatures rubbed off and this meant staff didn't actually know what temp it was set to. Failings by a chef in recording and testing food temperature. Pretty basic stuff really.

BA should be ashamed of these failures. BS should be hanging their head in shame. In Japan, the person responsible would fall on their sword. In BA and BS I suspect they get massive bonuses for saving huge sums of cash.

Only two articles that I know of. The daily mail one posted earlier on this thread and a Scottish newspaper. There was also a brief article in a travel news website as well.
