Ba 777

Looking for best J seat BA 777 travelling alone. Value ease of access to aisle and quiet. Dont care if front or rear of cabin or first/last off aircraft.

Looking at old thread (now locked) 15A looks like a good option but the aircraft has 10-16 as J - am I missing something - was this an old config where 15 was the last row?

Have an interest in this as well. As a couple have so far chosen 10A,B and 10 J,K. I miss the 747s but the nearly 2k difference per person even with a QF J sale with extreme restrictive conditions, will still fly BA J
My preferences: sit "together" and only one of us have someone climb over us

Maybe check out seatguru.com for the different configurations and pros & cons of each seat
BA appears to have slightly different seat configurations for their 777-200s and 777-300s
On the 777-200s J seats are rows 10-15 with 15 A & K not having windows.
On the 777-300s J is rows 10 - 16 with 12 A & K not having windows. All seats in row 16 not recommended due to close proximity to toilets

In this case the BA seat maps for the 777-200 3 & 4 class and the 777-300 4 class appear to be the same as seatguru.
Seatguru has a commentary on the pros & cons of individual seats which, not surprisingly, BA's seat maps don't.

i guess you can check which config it is by looking at how many rows (eg till row 16) and where the loos are when you choose your seat at ba.com

I came back LHR-HKG in a BA 777-300 recently. I sat in 11A. The A seats have a window, and are thus quieter because they are further from the aisle. In order to get out to the aisle you have to do a slightly odd shimmy manoeuvre which I found a bit awkward when I awoke with a full bladder after enjoying slightly more BA champagne than I had originally intended. At the time I thought that next time I would try a B seat to see if that was any better, albeit at the risk of more noise, as the aisle access would be much easier. I'm not sure that you can acheve both quiet and easy access, docjames.

As an aside I had done the outward leg on an older 747 and found the fairly new 777 to be a much nicer experience.

It looks to be the 773 as there is abrowb16 on the seat map.

I have 11B (per-selected by my TA so I might just stick with that.
