AY HKG-LHR in J for $2,709 return

Loyalty Lobby is reporting that Finnair currently has Business class sale fares from Hong Kong to London for USD1,862 return, which is equivalent to AUD2,709 round-trip. If you pick the right flights, you can get the A350 all the way to London. Also earns 360 Qantas status credits round-trip. Must travel between 14 January and 15 June 2020.

Sale ends 31 December 2019.

Many, many, thanks. Just a reminder to save the fare rules once you book, because they are impossible to find on AY.com if you want to change your booking, even if you have an account registered. Their website constantly falls over if you want to change an existing booking (several annoying experiences of this, including today) so keep that in mind also if you want flexibility. Cancelling and rebooking using this fare (and connections from AU) looks like an option.

Checked out this fare to LHR and J sale fares on CX and QF BNE-HKG, and in total it was about $650 more than booking a through fare on current AY sale. Might interest if you wanted 120 SCs each way for QF flights instead of 60 each way for AY ticketed flights, but hardly a bargain in this regard.
