Just stumbled across AwardWallet.com the other day, and upon Googling was surprised to see it only mentioned a handful of times on AFF... Does everyone already know about AwardWallet and don't feel the need to talk about it? Or are many community members unaware of it?

If it's the latter: I highly recommend you all check it out, it's an amazingly useful service.

The basic premise is that it keeps track of all your airline / hotel / credit card / etc reward points balance in one place: you submit your account details to AwardWallet and they check all your balances on a regular basis, presenting the results to you in one concise list. Also has useful features like detecting and displaying points / account expiration dates, sending you e-mails warning of points / accounts about to expire, etc. The free version is pretty fully-featured by itself, and the paid version (donationware - $5/year as a minimum) adds a few nice extras.

The guys running it are also great: I e-mailed suggesting they add CitiRewards and received a response within 4 hours on Easter Sunday. Not only that, despite initially thinking the on-screen password-entry keyboard used by CitiBank would make it impossible, they were open to suggestions about how to make it work: I ended up in a 10+ e-mail conversation with them during which we think we've nutted out a way to bypass the on-screen keyboard and make CitiRewards checking via AwardWallet possible.

Finally, on that last point: if anyone is already a user of AwardWallet, or signs up because of the above, could you please do me a favour? Visit http://awardwallet.com/status/ and click +1 next to "Citibank (CitiRewards)" in the "Considering to add" list. They decide which programs to work on based on votes, and I'd imagine CitiRewards would be very useful for a lot of Aussies. It only needs 10 votes to make it to 3rd on the list, and 15 to make it to #1.

I have known about this for a number of years. Doesn't appeal to me. Personally I have no need to consolidate all my loyalty programs on the internet where anyone can have access to them.

And I am clever enough to remember most of my loyalty programs, account numbers, passwords and balances anyway so no need for third party software. ;)

Fair enough - definitely not for everyone, but personally I love it.

Also, FYI for you and anyone else reading this, if the security of your program details is a concern then AwardWallet offer an option to store the login details on your computer (via cookies) rather than on their servers... less convenient, but an option if this is a concern.

I've got a good brain for remembering this sort of stuff, but I still can't remember anything other than the most common programs :D

I have been using Award Wallet for nearly 2 years to help monitor my and family members' multiple accounts with a single click. Also it saves me from remembering all the PWs for each account, and as it is web based, a single click allows me to log in to that particular account from any computer without having to remember that PW, altho I need to remember the AW PW;). The lack of AA access is AA's doing not Award Wallet's...so overall a big thumbs up from me! PS: when asked, they added Diners (Australia) rewards for me!!

I have an app that does this, suits me better than a website.

+1 to your comment kpc. I've been using it for 3 months and love the ability to add non-family members ;). Disappointing about AA but as you said, AA's decision even though they made changes to try and satisfy AA.

Better get the App as well - thanks nlagalle.

I gave it the @rse as it does not do AA. (AA refuse to let them)

Yeah, I was reading about that. Very unfortunate. Stupid AA :-(

Consume. It has limitations but suits my needs for now.

Just had a quick look at Consume - very limited number of airline / hotel / CC providers supported compared to AwardWallet. If it works for you, great, but you should considering checking out AwardWallet. As others pointed out it also has iPhone and Android apps, and the iPhone one is very well done.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

So, as per my original post, could those of you who have an AwardWallet account please do me a favour and click +1 next to "Citibank (CitiRewards)" in the "Considering to add" list at http://awardwallet.com/status/?

Would love to get it added, but it needs votes to get to the top of the list.

Aahh yes.. I use that too. I also use Award Wallet (it has an iPhone app too).

Thanks I'll check it out.

Of course, the other thing I like about consume is being able to track ISP balances and such.

Hmm, that would be useful. Might have to setup Consume as well.
