Award seats on BA using QFF points

As has been suggested, BA have had a recentish policy change, in that they no longer release many award seats to (some?) OW airlines until a few weeks before.

Fair enough I guess. I imagine that Qantas follows a similar strategy (including to its own FF'ers).

As has been suggested, BA have had a recentish policy change, in that they no longer release many award seats to (some?) OW airlines until a few weeks before.
It seems to be a bit random however. There are plenty of BA routes with wide open availability months out, yet others with zilch (eg Las Islas Canarias)
Fair enough I guess. I imagine that Qantas follows a similar strategy (including to its own FF'ers).
