A few months back, I booked a qantas award booking from Dublin to Perth flying on New Years Eve- EK metal. I have just been told that my Dublin to Dubai sector will be downgraded to Business class. I'm a little disappointed especially since it will cost me the same amount of points as if it was 1st class the whole way and there are no other flight options available that day. My question is, because the 1st sector is now business class does that mean that the complementary chauffeur service only extends to 40kms or will I get the 1st class equivalent of 150km?

Has the reason for the downgrade been given?

Both EK162 and 164 on 31DEC are 77W and show F avail so I am a little confused.

Ah wait, EK162 on 30DEC shows as a 2 class 77W with no F cabin for sale (I did not know EK had such a beast)

well you can't do a whole lot about an aircraft sub.

EK184 same date has F, but I guess that won't connect to a PER departure with avail?
