Well, I guess from some of the previous posters, she didn’t just hang up on her and gave it a try, albeit you could call it a snow job.
 
I called QF this morning reporting the error and noting I had experienced it since yesterday. She was convinced it was my server error and to her credit, really tried to help me 'fix' my IT issues. The lady did try her best!
Sounds like when you have to grit your teeth and contact your telco because your internet is broken and you know it is nothing to do with you, and everything to do with the telco. So while they tell you - turn off your modem and remove all extra attachments to your telephone line (irrelevant of course but that's their patter) so you make little scrabbling noises, wait a minute or so, then say, yes, all disconnected now, having touched nothing. Try removing cookies. Yep. Etc etc. Then at the end of the call they say, which was your desired outcome, well, I've tested the line and it's our issue and we will send out a technician. Killed thirty minutes of your life having to go through the motions.
 
Have the work experience kids finished their exams yet so they can get onto this quick smart?

sigh. seriously poor imo. but you know it's good old "Consistently Inconsistent" QF that we know and.. uh.. love...
 
Finally found an ideal Classic Rewards itinerary MEL>DXB>MLE in F for mid March (EK metal). Got through to the confirmation of pax info, checked all details, hit Continue to pay.

Classic Reward? Classic Qantas..at least put a contact number in your generic error message.
 
Yep. There needs to be a seperate thread for the myriad Qantas booking engine error messages. It would be quite a collection.
 
I had something similar, I think I was trying a bit too agressivly to find awards, and I had to use a vpn to continue.

I'm so sick of this error on QANTAS web site. It's been happening for many months, if not years. The only thing I can do is give up and try again tomorrow. You get a few searches, and then it dies again for the day.

It s already hard enough to find awards. Now even searching is difficult!
 
We encountered the same error in 2021 for 2022 flights, had to complete the booking over the phone.
