HI does anyone know whether they are still releasing seats close to departure. If so, is there a specific time period eg 14 days and do they release them at a specific time. thanks

I know that when I was successful getting my F seat on CX from HKG-JFK through AA it was only 3-4 weeks before travel.

I didn't leave it that late deliberately but was waiting for my AA points to post.

There are no set times for award seats to be released. Some flights could be full.

If you need a seat don't wait until the last minute.
