Stumbled across this site which I was not aware of:
Airways Museum / Civil Aviation Historical Society
Well worth having a look if you are interested in the history of aviation in Australia from the perspective of the Government Department charged with its regulation. The museum also has a physical presence at Essendon which is open on Tuesdays, I will be having a look next time I am down that way.
On a side note, if you ever wondered what the ATC centre in Sydney looked like inside as far as sector control goes, I found a picture at the site:

Its exactly as I remember it, except for the hair dos and clothes
