re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

Can I just check, because I can't figure out where Au is on that table, is J to SIN from PER getting cheaper or more expensive under the changes?

Should I book today? Thanks!

Thanks! I presume Singapore is north or South Asia, so will be going down.

Question: I want to book 2 tickets on the same flight. I can check availability no problem, but I have the miles in 2 different accounts. Do I do 2 separate bookings from each account for 1 ticket each, or is this risky (i.e. availability for the 2nd ticket gone once the 1st has been booked)? Or is it better to call up?

If you call up the net effect will be exactly the same. They will not create a booking for 2, then split the PNR and take payment like US Airways for example would.

I tried one just now and it told me I needed to call the call center. There were no charges or attempts on my card so it is likely something on LM's end. Of course it would go down shortly before the rates go up, how convenient :mad:.

The LM site has always been buggy for me, maybe just give it a few hours and try again.

Yeah but my booking attempt has taken the award seat out of availability. I have a PNR but no ticket number. Will have to call in the (USA EDT time zone) morning, I need sleep first before I deal with the call center :).

Yeh that looks like it has to be your next move. FWIW contrary to some reports on this thread, I haven't found the LM call centre to be atrocious, but much like any other call centre (AA, QF, EY, TG, etc) the quality of the service you receive really depends more on the agent who picks up your call. Good luck with it, last time I called for the same reason it was a quick and easy fix, hope it will be the same in your case.

Yes as I tried 4times 2 diff days for F all availability is gone though it's there on UA.
They said the bookings are cancelled. I have always found them painful to deal with .
i do bookings for a whole group so have had a lot of dealings. Not once have I completed dealings in under an hour.
I find both UA and AA. Fab to deal with.
anyway I'm now on the clock and no one can help

Called them as I had the same issue. Error is on their side, they said try again in the AM. As it's around 11pm/early am on the 14th there, still 1 day before the changes take effect. Will try again tonight and then maybe call during their office hours.

Could I ask, what number are people calling? I seem to always get the "the number you are trying to call is disconnected" even when adding the +57

Thanks

Scrap that. worked it out :)

Same issue here for two bookings I just made. Called the US call centre, on the phone for 15 minutes. They had no record of payment so advised they will call me back within 12-24 hrs to charge my credit card via the phone. The guy I was speaking to couldn't do it, different department has to do it apparently.

I've got the PNRs for both bookings, they are showing up okay on checkmytrip, but don't have ticket numbers yet (or is there any way to find them?). So fingers crossed that all is going well.
