Thanks for the report exceladdict. Good to know!

Hoping I get the same experience with SAS next month.

When they added it to your BP, did that change your points-earn number so milage had to be credited to O6? Or was it secondary to your normal FF number. Hoping this might answer my previous question ;)

Sorry im a *A newbie so don't know of the difference between those two. (I doubt the check in agent would have known either). It was a group booking, g class, so I'm unlikely to earn miles anyway but I will report. I was just hoping to get 4 flights ticked off to get closer to the 5 needed to get a physical card.

I did see that however a little internet research suggests that it isn't always the case.
That was why i was asking if anyone else had received one from this promotion.

Intriguing. Perhaps you could expand a little? Is there evidence of cards being sent out without the qualifying flights?

Tell us more!

It would make life so much easier with the card. Do you think calling and asking for one would help?

Well, for those of us who would have to work through a translation v...e...r...y slowly, perhaps you could point us to the most relevant bits?

Browsing the threads, people report receiving physical cards about two weeks after the status match was confirmed.
They do not mention taking any qualifying flights.

It isn't unambiguous, and my Portugese is not great, hence my earlier question.

There's a <Bing translated> comment in the second link that some-one received a card (but neither the timing after approval or the circumstances ... could have been after X months and Y qualifying flights). Another comment says the cards are cardboard.

I don't think the (Bing translated) first link has anything relevant to card delivery.

Sent off my details with my SG QF card just before the end of October when my QF year ended. I wasn't sure if they would match as my SG status has now expired but they did. Now, I could really do with a *A to OW match like the Air Berlin one to get me back in the QP.

I applied on 12 October, got a positive match on 16 Nov. I cheekily went with my newly acquired AZ Gold status, matched from AB Gold, which was matched from A3 Gold, off the back of one SQ Y return SYD-CDG. Amazing how the system can work in your favour once you get that first gold card!

A dump question -- is it okay to give passport information to non secured site? I didn't see their site start with "https://" when i tried to join..

Thanks all.

Welcome, namee24.

I don't think there's any significant benefit to inputting those details, certainly not unless you're flying with the airline soon.

Thanks Danger,

Yah! for sure i will not fly with them soon, but might use the star alliance benefit. Since passport details are must for sign in, being a expert, do you see any risk on it? :-)

I only applied today, not sure when the offer runs to.

Undoubtedly, if approved I'll never get a chance to use it, but if they do offer a soft drop then it seems worthwhile just from the fact I can use it to match to something else in 3 years ;)

Looks like it will be a soft drop--

"6.5. As of March 31 of 2017, annually on the same date, a reassessment of the Card Category attributed to the Amigo Member at that time, considering the Qualifiable Points and the segments flown earned in the previous calendar year, from January 01 to December 31 ("Calendar Year"), when then the Card Category downgrade or renewal can occur, i.e., following the criteria established on Clause 6.2. above, the Amigo Member can have its Card Category kept or be reclassified to a Card Category lower than the one established at that time."

That's fantastic! So a match to Platinum (which OWEs seem to be getting) is *A Gold until March 2018!?
