Australian state border restrictions

Indeed. I just checked the text we received and it does state "need to show proof" of vaccination. The presumption from patients being that if you can't or won't then no consult.

May be a matter of time until someone holds their feet to the fire. i.e.
File a complaint/suit against the doctor.
Put their registration "under question".
See if they back down if their and their family's livelihoods, reputation, safety, etc, is on the line.

Sounds like a clear violation of the Declaration of Geneva:
"I WILL NOT PERMIT considerations of age, disease or disability, creed, ethnic origin, gender, nationality, political affiliation, race, sexual orientation, social standing or any other factor to intervene between my duty and my patient"

Whether the board has a similar requirement may not have been tested in this circumstance, however malice doesn't always travel in one direction.

I don’t how it affects individual Doctors but many practices in SA are strictly no entry to premises if unvaccinated. You aren’t allowed to set foot on the property without being vaccinated so I’m guessing that would prevent you from seeing one of the doctors unless they also operate at other locations or home visits?
My wife’s dentist is strictly vaccinated only for entry no exemptions and unvaccinated have had to find other dentists

Interesting, is that a SA government enforcement due to Major Emergency Declaration powers?

Or alternatively, a decision made by the business itself?

Wonder how that would affect some people who travel interstate for medical treatment.

Not at all. The State Govt has only mandated vaccines in the Public SA Health system, education, ride shares, Police and a couple of others. They've left it up to the other Govt Depts, Councils, and private enterprises to make their own decisions.

But he would say that wouldn't he.Means extra sales for the company.
Of course 3 months ag he and the Pfizer CEO were saying the same thing about Delta. And they also predicted they would have the new vaccine in 100 days - that should be up this week

And the Moderna CEO 2 months ago said the pandemic would be over in 12 months.

WA expecting to hit 80% by the end of next week, currently at 87.1% 12+ single dose / 76.1% second dose. Probably expect a mid-late week presser from Mark with next steps; tbh I'm pleasantly surprised we're at 85%+.

Those from NSW entering SA will now need to do a test on arrival from this afternoon. Not sure if they need to isolate until they receive a negative though.

Did NSW travellers already have to get a test within 72 hours of departure?

Yes

Interestingly they did not say whether the interstate visitors to the reunion super spreader event were from Vic or NSW, only WA was mentioned to date. But stated suspect Delta not Omicron.
