Victoria: 779 positive tests, 2 deaths - both unvaccinated, 46k tests, 80% first dose expected on Tuesday - 15km radius for shopping and exercise, Geelong and Surf Coast exit lockdown tonight.

ACT: 25 positive tests, 2k tests, 85% of 12+ eligible first dose. No further positive tests in Canberra General Hospital.

Wow VIC and ACT went down today that’s interesting

Something's screwed up somewhere, then. I got my figure from the press conference as it went to air. It's now available at
- 3:20 mark.

More than 4,300 tests were collected across the ACT yesterday, from both Government and private providers. There were 2,192 negative test results in the 24 hours to 9am today.

Edit: I had a look at a few media releases and ACT Health have a few thousand accumulated with no test result (ie collected v negative test + positive test) 🤔🤔🤔

This story made my blood run cold. Mum dad & children turn up to a park taking down QR code’s (the children) then attack another family of picnickers and set their dog on a man who came to help.
I really am living in some parallel universe🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Two people have been charged, I wonder if they handed themselves in or were “found” by Police?

Also nutjobs on the other side.

Imagine collecting your take away coffee from a barista at a local coffee shop and saying "oh by the way that person over there is sniffling, maybe you should ask her to leave"

Not terrifying if you are prepared to get regular booster shots as I do yearly for the flu.
the idea that 20 years from now you will need to be checking into everywhere with a covid app that ensures you have had your kennel cough that year? no thank you.

Yeah, I think EVER was not the right term to use but think it will be a long time still before we lose the masks and QR code’s. I hardly even notice anymore, some days I drive home and don’t even realise my mask has been on for the last hour

But that is leap you have made not what was actually said. The types of restrictions that may periodically be needed were not specified.

An annual covid booster shot is a no brainer for those of us who already stay current with their vaccinations including annual flu jab . If the unvaccinated continue to have restrictions imposed on them, well that is their choice.

In fact keeping restrictions on the unvaccinated, is what will keep vaccination levels (including boosters) where they need to be. WA and Qld demonstrates that when there are no restrictions, far fewer people get jabbed.

Adelaide summer - I'm already noticing I'm getting hotter with them. But at least I can scowl at numpties. But I am also noticing, in Covid zero state (only currently) SA that compliance is starting to wane.

in a couple of years when its numbers are the same as the flu it should be treated that way, not traced, tracked or have societal freedoms dictated by.
