Miranda Kerr caught breaching NSW quarantine rules​



Aussie supermodel Miranda Kerr was slapped with an official warning after police caught the star breaching quarantine rules.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the model and entrepreneur was granted an exemption to isolate at the luxury, multimillion-dollar Hunter Valley property late last year instead of in hotel quarantine to allow her to visit a sick relative in palliative care.

But it is understood her movements breached that exemption, and NSW Police were seen visiting the property late last year to issue the warning.

At the time, Kerr was completing a 14-day quarantine period with her husband, Snapchat founder husband Evan Spiegel.

I read also that Andrew Forrest was allowed to skip WA domestic quarantine after doing Nsw international quarantine, which in turn was a few weeks after getting covid and recovering somewhere overseas. Luckily no one else on his private jet caught covid.

This is the case for all though isnt it? International arrivals do HQ in the state they arrive in, then provided they go dirrctly to the airport by cab/uber or likely limo in his case (not a series random bus and train journeys out in public) they are allowed to enter their home states without doing HQ again.

On the news the other day there were heaps of interviews at MEL with people who had been released from Sydney HQ earlier that day and flown to MEL and none were needing to HQ again even though at that time Vic had all of greater Sydney declared Red.

Was good to see ABC news reporter finally call Vic out on the inconsistencies with its "Red"zones, highlighting as I did taht NB had mystery cases and exposure sites in last 14 days yet was now Orange (there are others too like Woollarha) so more risky than some of the Red zone LGAs with fewer cases and no mystery cases. Need the rest of the media to pick up on this and force some consistency in categorisation.
 
WA still have special rules.

For example if you have been in NZ in the 14 days prior to arriving in WA, then you have to do 14 days quarantine. Oh and not just for the remaining period of 14 days since arrival from NZ - a full 14 days. So make sure if you come from NZ you holiday in a very low risk zone for 14 days (May be only SA, given the recent cases on the eastern seaboard) before heading to WA.

I think the article indicated Andrew Forrest was given a WA exemption from domestic quarantine so that suggests NSW international quarantine and transit is not enough under the WA rules.

Please reign the emotions in a bit?!?! According to NSW Health twitter, there is no NSW press conference on COVID. So it might be a bit like yesterday where the NSW Premier (no NSW CHO attending) has a brief mention on Covid and then moves on.
 
No it is a proper presser, because she is addressing timing of restriction easings . I finally found it on ABC Sydney facebook page . It wasnt like yesterday at all.

Its a ritual to tune in to GLadys at 11am since last April - she has only missed a bout 12 days in that whole time. If they can make time to broadcast no annoucnements form Qld as they did an hour earier, they can give NSW the same courteousy.

** Finished watching now, the first 12 mins of the presser were dedicated to Covid, question time will happen after the non covid annoucnements.

Its because there has been controversy as to why military and diplomatic arrivals have been quaratining in Darwin Hotels and not Howard Springs away from the community. Many locals dont want hotels used when Howard Springs would keep them away from community.
