Mrscove gets another go at entering at LAX in a couple of days. We stop in Singapore tonight with a room at Crowne Plaza. Her passport should be ok now but often she gets an X from the automatic kiosk.

I don't have a new passport (issued in 2010), I've received X from the kiosks every time without fail. I just line up now since its quicker. Wife is getting her Aussie passport later this year so it'll be interesting to see if this problem persists.

Our SQ777 got parked a couple of kms from TBIT and we were transported by bus right by the immigration area. The automatic processing kiosk gave us the all clear so we were down picking up our bags very quickly.
Our Hispanic taxi driver hit 67 mph down Lincoln Boulevard in his Toyota Prius and that was like being in a racing car as he weaved thru the traffic without bothering to signal. I think he arrived at The Cove a full 2 minutes quicker than if he had obeyed most of the traffic rules.
