Seems like a different pitch. I wonder if the CA's XI beating Bangladesh very easily earlier in the week, including bowling them out for 54 in the second innings, made the Australians a bit too complacent?

Definitely. Seen it many times. 'Oh, this will be a doddle, can switch off ...'

Congratulations Bangladesh - a thoroughly deserved victory against a very lacklustre and (dare I say) arrogant Aussie team. I reckon the Australia A team would have given the Tigers a much closer run and quite possibly beaten them.

Pretty decent test cricket there, but a huge upset, to state the obvious. Our top order has been too fragile for way too long. It's entirely the selectors fault for letting Warner play on for so long. Great form by Head has papered over that to some extent, but he needs to be at 5. Webster or Green, but not both unless one can identify as a bowling all-rounder. So what to do with 1 and 3? I'm fine with more time for Weatherald. No obvious candidates in the Shield, other than Weatherald himself. Maybe there'll be more chatter about Constas in the next week. Heads should roll after a loss like this but the way cricket goes these days, nothing will happen and we'll probably thrash them in Mackay in 2.5 days. I hope we're not having the same conversation in a few months though.

They beat them and bowled them out in the second innings for 54 !
