How about Amex MR -> SPG -> AA?

FWIW, the in the very early days of Amex MR, you were able to transfer to many USA airlines including AA and UA. Upon being questioned about this a representative from Amex basically said they had just copied the basic program from the USA (including redemption partners) to get it up and running. You won't find a straight through Australian CC which will credit to AA miles, don't think that you ever will. As other posters have suggested, you have to use a round about way.
I did it in America with Citi US this February. I could not see how to do it on Australian credit cards. So far we have picked up about 230,000 AA miles on our two cards and I am experimenting.
One of my AFF colleagues has just got his start this month.
I see what you did thereNot that I'm AAware of.
And I did look for it, too.
Does anyone know of an Australian credit card through which I can collect AAdvantage awards? Or similar but non-AU that I can easily pay off with AUD (e.g. through PayPal perhaps)?
Thanks.
