Viewed an QF A380 landing at SYD this afternoon at around 3:30pm from the fish markets, seems it operated a fly-by in the tradition of last years popular harbour and Greater Sydney Fly-By:

The airport codes (LAX-SYD) suggest to me it was a passenger flight? Would have been cool to be onboard if so :)

They do it for the GP in Melbourne too. Do a flypast and keep on going.

I never realised they were actually passenger flights, pretty cool. Would love to fly over the MCG on grandfinal… although that wont be happening anymore, but that would have been awesome, so low :)

I Don't think 6003 is a passenger flight number perhaps someone can confirm?

I'd be p!ssed if my flight from LAX to SYD went through 3 or 4 lazy turns around the harbour prior to landing :)

If it was scheduled to do so or made up time on the way to do so, then as a tourist or a local you’d get a great view :)

Yeah, watched it go over the harbour from my balcony. Flew pretty low and made a great deal of noise:cool:

Didn't think they were allowed to do fly by's with Pax on board after an AF A320 went into the trees during one.
