I've never flown with Jetstar before.
I am looking at one way flights from Honolulu to Melbourne.

When I look at google flights I get one price in $AU but when I go to the Jetstar page it is giving me the price in $US

Is this just a mistake with google flights?

If you click "Continue" with Google, what fare comes up?

It's actually fairly typical of most airlines.
It will show the fare using the currency of the originating port.
I understand that, but all websites are showing the AUD price and then when I book with jetstar it changes it to a totally different amount.
I don't want to book with a 3rd party.

At the end of the day, the fare is in USD, any website showing it in AUD is an approximation and may or may not include tax.

I'd say that fare has now sold out. What I see now:

For me, Jetstar comes to a total of US$2254, so only $200ish more than your google flights quote and the same as my google flights quote. The other websites I think are not including tax, it's not a legal requirement for flights ex-US to include tax.

Of course now every AFF user trying to help you is probably searching the flight and jacking up the price!

Google flights uses the currency of where it believes you are located. You can select another currency down near the bottom of the page.

Slightly related, I made an Expedia booking for a rental car in the US later in the year (with Hertz).

Booked and confirmed in AUD (but post-pay)-.

When I load up the booking in Hertz, the rate in no way corresponds with the Expedia price.

Expedia (MMB)-

Hertz -

I'm prepared to pay the Hertz rate as it's still reasonable, but if the Expedia rate is honoured, it's an incredible rate.

To add to this because it had me stumped for quite a while, on my android phone I needed to put view the desktop site in order to be able to see and alter the currency option.

It’s not that
It’s the fact that it’s a completely different converted price - it’s way more
