ATSB investigating Tiger "belly crawl" into Melbourne

Tiger Airways belly crawl into Melbourne under safety probe | Plane Talking

A Tiger Airways A320 that flew into Melbourne Airport from Brisbane last night at an unsafe altitude is under investigation by the ATSB.
The incident, which is classed as an ‘operational occurrence’ rather than a ‘serious incident’ was timed at 9.02 pm.
The air safety investigator says the jet, an A320 which carries up to 180 passengers and at least six crew, descended below the safe minimum height for the approach it was flying to the airport while close to the airport.

While I am hesitant to tar all with the same brush, this is not the first LCC to be under investigation in recent times for flying below LSALT on approach in Australia, and at face value reinforces my personal decision not to fly such airlines on safety grounds.
