I never factor the exchange rate - win some lose some - in the long run it will all balance out
Actually in the really long run you'll go broke (it's called gamblers ruin) but admittedly unlikelyI never factor the exchange rate - win some lose some - in the long run it will all balance out
OK, I'll concede your point on the exchange rate fluctuation but AUD has trended down over the last five years so you'll generally lose.I never factor the exchange rate - win some lose some - in the long run it will all balance out
1. Pay.com.au assuming you can tax deduct the fee and your credit card earns enough points per $ spent.Between AMEX deval and slain dragon, are there viable solutions remaining in this game?

NAB Bus Visa Sig then into Velocity (particularly on bonus) works I think, on a cost to benefit ratio...Between AMEX deval and slain dragon, are there viable solutions remaining in this game?
Agree 100%, would love to see them disappear. They are making it worse for everyone...Pay.com.cau is promoting a tax avoidance scheme and will be shut down before long
You can't tax deduct fees if the points are for personal use. The economics doesn't stack up without this.
deft takes amex directly and cheaper than using pay.com.auOT but can Pay.com.au do DEFT payments with amex?
Anyone paid a house deposit using this?
I looked at SNIP but it only allows Visa/MC
What is the latest transfer rate if I pay my ATO bill using sniip using my platinum amex?
It says it is a “business rate”, so IDK if i get 1:1 or 2.25:1 points per $ spent.
Thanks, business rate surcharge is 2.19%deft takes amex directly and cheaper than using pay.com.au
i've paid stamp duty using pexa and my amex + Pay.com.au but not house deposit
business rate for sniip is related to the surcharge they will charge you for paying ATO. you will still get the full 2.25:1 points
"personal rate" at sniip is 1.29% for amex. "business rate" is bit over 2% but double check that, I'm going by my memory
Direct to BSB/AC is pretty much guaranteed to attract cash advance penalties, though it might be feasible if you're prepared to pay the card down immediately.Sorry if this has been answered recently, I can only find posts in this from a few years ago.
Is there a cheap or fee free way to pay my rent via Amex? Either DEFT or direct to bsb/acc#
I meant via a bill payment service. I read that Beem used to be a good option but isn’t anymoreDirect to BSB/AC is pretty much guaranteed to attract cash advance penalties, though it might be feasible if you're prepared to pay the card down immediately.
